Educational content, not financial advice

Quit Overspending, The 5-Minute Money Method, our course, community, website, emails, and texts are financial education. They are not financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. We are not financial advisors, planners, brokers, accountants, attorneys, or a bank, and nothing here creates an advisor-client or fiduciary relationship.

The method teaches a general approach to managing personal spending. It does not account for your complete financial situation. Before making significant financial decisions, consider consulting a qualified professional who can review your specific circumstances.

No guaranteed results

We do not guarantee any specific financial outcome, savings amount, or timeline for any individual. Any dollar figures, examples, or timelines we share are illustrations or aggregate observations, not promises. Your results depend on your income, expenses, debts, household, and follow-through, none of which we control.

We will also be honest in the other direction: the method reduces the effort of managing money, but it does not remove effort. You still have to commit, be honest about your spending, and want to underspend. Anyone who promises effortless money results is not telling you the truth, and we won’t either.

Testimonials and examples

Testimonials and member stories on this site reflect individual experiences. They are real, but they are not typical of everyone, and they are not a promise of what you will experience. Nobody is compensated for testimonials unless clearly labeled otherwise.

When overspending is a symptom of something deeper

A quick honest note. Overspending is sometimes a symptom of something the 5-Minute Money Method was never built to fix, like a gambling problem, an addiction, or depression. There is no shame in that, and there is real help for it. If any of this is you, please reach out: call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), call the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-522-4700, or call SAMHSA’s free, confidential line at 1-800-662-4357. You can come back to the method anytime. Take care of you first.

Banking and third-party tools

We do not connect to your bank, hold your money, or process transactions on your behalf. Any banks or third-party tools you use alongside the method (for example, a transaction-tracking app) are your own choice and governed by their terms, not ours. References to books, authors, or outside frameworks are credits to their creators, not endorsements of us by them.

Errors and updates

We work to keep our content accurate, but we make no warranty that everything on the site is complete, current, or error-free. We may update content at any time without notice.
